Rational Act is two friends, a screen printing machine, and a bunch of organic cotton. We print everything by hand, using only organic materials and sustainable inks. All that, and the stuff looks good too!
We are originally from Pittsburgh, PA but now live in Baltimore, MD. We began this business from scratch with only our design sense and business know-how in our back pockets. Now, after only a year, we have grown to include several hundred organic items of clothing, a beautiful screen printing machine, and more inks than I wish to count.
The two friends that make up Rational Act are John and Alexandra. Idea generation and the actual process of screen printing is shared between the two of us while Alexandra is responsible for the actual designing, and John excels in everything business related.
